Here’s an update of fireworks displays taking place on Oahu that are free and open to the public starting Friday, July 3.

 

FRIDAY, JULY 3

FRIDAY FIREWORKS ON WAIKIKI BEACH AT HILTON HAWAIIAN VILLAGE

Every Friday evening at 7:45 pm, Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa puts on a fireworks display for everyone to enjoy and this year, the timing is perfect for an early 4th of July celebration.  For more information, call 808-949-4321.

 

ALOHA TOWER MARKETPLACE - ANNUAL JULY 3 FIREWORKS EXTRAVAGANZA!

Aloha Tower Marketplace hosts its annual pre-Independence Day celebration on Thursday, July 3rd, starting at 5 p.m. and culminating in a stunning fireworks display over Honolulu Harbor at 8:45 p.m. Admission is FREE. There will be free, live entertainment by the Navy’s Pacific Fleet Band, plus a fashion show. Don Ho’s Island Grill, Hooters and Gordon Biersch will offer entertainment and food & drink specials all night long. SATURDAY, JULY 4

38TH ANNUAL FOURTH OF JULY SPECTACULAR AT SCHOFIELD BARRACKS

Open to the public, the all-day event take place from 9 am – 9 pm at Sills Field, Schofield Barracks. The spectacular family event features games, rides, food, prizes, concert by Kansas at 5:30 pm and fireworks display at 8:30 pm. See map for directions to Schofield Barracks.


INDEPENDENCE DAY PARADE AND FIREWORKS AT KAINALU DRIVE AND KAILUA DISTRICT PARK

The town of Kailua celebrates July 4 with a parade at 10 am starting at Kainalu Elementary School, located at 165 Kaiholu Street, and end with fireworks at Kailua District Park.


TURTLE BAY RESORT CELEBRATION AND FIREWORKS

Turtle Bay Resort on Oahu’s North Shore has nearly five miles of beachfront and celebrates the 4th of July at 3 pm with activities for the family followed by a fireworks display.  Turtle Bay Resort is located at 57-091 Kamehameha Highway in Kahuku.

 

ALA MOANA CENTER HOSTS FREE 4TH OF JULY FIREWORKS

For the 18th consecutive year, Ala Moana Center is proud to present residents and visitors with Hawaii’s largest fireworks show on Independence Day. The fireworks spectacular takes place at Ala Moana Beach Park.  This is the only show in Hawaii to launch from three separate platforms, it is among the top 25 largest in the country. Ala Moana Center Fireworks will begin with a bang on July 4, and continue throughout the weekend with entertainment by Hawaii’s top musicians, shopping and savings for the entire family.

Excerpts from their press release, Thirty percent of Ala Moana Center’s fireworks this year will consist of brand-new products never seen before. The three-part display will use more than one ton of digital pyrotechnics and showcase amazing visual effects like “Swimming Fish,” “Giant Glittering Rainbow,” “Happy Faces,” “Tumbling Dice,” and more.

In addition to the stunning visual presentation, Ala Moana Center has orchestrated a soundtrack that will be broadcast simultaneously on KUMU 94.7 FM and will include American classic, popular contemporary, and Hawaiian songs such as Bruce Springsteen’s “Born in the USA,” Lady Gaga’s “Just Dance,” and “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” by Israel Kamakawiwo‘ole.

The fireworks show will begin on Saturday, July 4 at 8:30 pm, and free open seating on Ala Moana Center’s Makai-Ewa Parking Deck will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
