Rihanna finally speaks in depth for the first time about how she felt after experiencing the controversial and publicized fight with Chris Brown.
In a clip from an interview Rihanna did with Diane Sawyer, Rihanna discusses how she felt after she was beat up by Chris Brown during the early morning hours of February 8th.
It’s hard to recall any other interview the singer has done before this one – and this goes for before the Chris Brown altercation, so it was refreshing to see the type of personality Rihanna had off of the stage and behind the dark and ominous look she often times portray in her photos and videos.
The singer addressed the situation by saying that she was left humiliated and embarrassed after the fight with Chris, because she felt that the little bit of privacy she had was taken from her due to the onslaught of media attention their fight garnered.

She even spoke about how she regrets going back to Chris Brown. If you can remember, reports suggested that the two had reconciled after the altercation on numerous occasions – one being at music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs’ home in Miami.
During the course of the interview Rihanna stated that she had little knowledge how much of an impact her situation had on her younger fan base, emphasizing that once she realized the negative example she was setting by going back to Chris Brown, she decided to end their relationship for the sake of being a positive influence for other young women in abusive relationships. She capped her thoughts off with saying “f—k love.”
When I realized that my selfish decision for love could result into some young girl getting killed, I could not be easy with that part.
The full interview will air tomorrow night at 10 pm on 20/20. Coincidentally enough, Chris Brown is also scheduled to sit down for an interview tomorrow evening in a MTV special being dubbed “Chris Brown: The Interview”. Chris’s interview will air at 6 pm on MTV.
