The controversy surrounding Rihanna’s “Russian Roulette” appears to be paying off. The single has reportedly skyrocketed to the number 9 position on this week’s Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Rihanna’s lead single “Russian Roulette” off of her forthcoming album Rated R is doing rather well on the charts. “Russian Roulette” made its debut on the charts just 3 weeks ago and already it is beginning to make major headway. Rihanna’s single clocked in at number 75 just a week ago and this week it is in the top 10.
Rihanna’s “Russian Roulette” sits on top of Beyonce’s single “Sweet Dreams” that has spent 16 weeks on the charts. Beyonce’s “Sweet Dreams” has just peaked at number 10 with last week’s chart recording landing her at number 11.
Rihanna and Beyonce’s minimal competition will not just stop at the charts. The two singers will go head-to-head on November 23 when they release their albums – Rihanna will release Rated R and Beyonce will release her I Am…Yours CD/DVD set.
