The 3rd ODI of the Hero Honda Cup 2009 between India and Australia (Ind vs Aus) will begin in Delhi on Saturday, 31st October 2009.  The match is telecast Live on Neo Sports TV Channel.

Day/night match start time 0900 GMT

India lost the first ODI by just 4 runs then came back strongly with a resounding win in the second match with captain MS Dhoni smashing a century along with two very useful half centuries by Gambhir and Raina.

Indian Captain  Dhoni's 124 runs in the 2nd ODI was the highest score by any captain against Australia in an ODI, beating Sanath Jayasuriya's 122 in 2003.

Australian team is plagued with Injuries. their pace spear head Brett Lee is out of the Tournament with an injury and will fly back to Australia

India has played 12 Matches at  the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium, winning seven and losing five.

Pitch and conditions

The poor quality of the pitch in Delhi was criticized during the CL T20, when slow, low bounces made it mighty hard to score runs.

For this ODI, the pitch is expected to be a bit better, but not much. Batsmen will need to be careful against straight balls due to the low bounce.
