Have you watched sports lately? Ever seen the Laker Girls or the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders? How about the female beach volleyball athletes? Who's showing more skin? Them or Miley Cyrus?
If you want young girls to cover up, maybe we should bring back the longer cheerleader skirts and cover their belly buttons for the women during half-time shows and maybe the volleyball players should wear baggy clothes like the guys.
Do people just need something to talk about? There are those who are even worried about poor little Noah Cyrus. A girl can't swing around a maypole, a tether ball pole and real firemen's pole or even a lamp post or an umbrella pole without the morality police coming out full force.
To me it really sounds like either some really repressed folk who probably want to ban all women and girls dancing or some people are a little bit of jealous. Miley Cyrus is so lucky and successful that some people just want to snark at her since they can't be her.
If you recall her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, was too modest to do some of the sexually charged moves during his stint on "Dancing with the Stars." I thought he was to be commended for sticking to his guns on that point even though I thought Giles Marini was hotter than Tabasco. Think about it. If you've been watching the DWTS series, you'll know that young girls, younger than Miley and perhaps even younger than Noah, are learning to samba, salsa and rhumba with a lot more hip movement than what Miley was displaying on stage at the Teen Choice Awards. I guess belly dancing for young girls is totally out as well for the morality police of America.
Watching young Noah to her so-called pole dance made me think of another very famous pole dance.
