
Tonight, Mya left no doubt who was the better dancer. Mya and Dmitry Chaplin quickstepped their way to a 29 and then added a perfect 30 for their samba.

This was the first perfect score of the season. Last week, although stung by Len Goodman's criticism about using too many gimmicks, Mya and Dmitry Chaplin still went for the wow factor, but the content was there.
Mya and Chaplin received a 25 (9, 7, 9) for their foxtrot last week, dancing to "Is You Is or Is You Ain't My Baby." Of the remaining five couples, Mya and Chaplin received the lowest scores for week 7.

In the ballroom round, Mya and Chaplin went glam, dancing to "Baby Wants a Diamond Ring" by Squirrel Nut Zippers.
Len Goodman told Mya that she and him had gotten off to a "sticky start" and he found this routine a bit of a disappointment for me because I couldn't find anything to criticize."
Bruno Tonioli told Mya and Chaplin that "ladies and gentlemen, this is quality" and compared it to champagne.
Carrie Ann Inaba reminded the audience that the quickstep is one of the more difficult dances, and yet Mya was able to make it look like it flowed out of her body and the Mya and Chaplin were in perfect sync.
Mya and Chaplin received a 29, with the low score coming this time from Inaba.
In the latin round, Mya and Chaplin were dancing the samba to Donna Summer's "Bad Girls." As an added twist, during the latin round, the couples were supposed to dance according to a certain decade. Mya and Chaplin got the 1970s. Mya was dressed in a bright pink pants suit. Their dance incorporated, what else? Disco.
Inaba commented that the performance was "beyond belief." It was an incredible samba.
Goodman said Mya was "absolutely on fire" and he was talking about her hips. He found that her two dances were of the highest standard with no gimmicks.
Tonioli said he loved bad girls and Mya was the baddest of all.
For their efforts, Mya and Chaplin received the first perfect score of the season.
