PUSH

There are a few movies coming out next week that I'm interested in seeing. One that was being advertised a lot on TV a couple weeks ago is PUSH, starring Dakota Fanning and Chris Evans, as well as Camilla Belle and Djimon Hounsou. The movie will hit theaters Friday, February 6.

I'm usually not a sci-fi fan, but the action makes up for it. Plus, it's not that bad of sci-fi -- it has to do with psychics! Although, not all of the psychics in the movie seem to be good ones. There is a government agency trying to take over all of civilization called the Division. There are three main types of people involved in the Division: pushers, movers, and watchers.

The pushers are those who can push thoughts, memories, and emotions into their victims. The two main pushers in this movie are a girl known as Kira (Camilla Belle), who has escaped the Division's program, who might hold the key to ending the Division's program, and then a Division Agent -- Henry Carver (Djimon Hounsou) -- who is to do his best to keep the Division going.

However, there is also Nick Gant (Chris Evans), who is a mover. Movers are able to move objects at any distance with their minds. He had been in hiding for ten years since the Division had called his father. However, a watcher, Cassie Holmes (Dakota Fanning), seeks him out and asks for his help in finding Kira to end the Division. Watchers are able to see the future, kind of like deja vu.

The plot seemed a little confusing for me at first, but once I understood, I realized the movie may not be half bad. Plus, it's got one of my favorite actors, Dakota Fanning and a cute face, Chris Evans. Who could resist a movie like that?

There is also going to be a series of comic books released that acts as the prequel to the movie. It will be written by Marc Bernardin and Adam Freeman and the artwork will be done by Bruno Redondo. Interesting, huh?

Here is the movie trailer for PUSH.
