Today, November 6, from 6:30 - 8:30 PM there will be a star party. The title of today's focus is "400 Years after Galileo: How Our View of the Universe Changed - Eric Klumpe." The event will be in the Wiser-Patten Science Building, room 102, and will also take place outside.

There will be a 30-45 minute lecture, open to the public, and then there will be telescope observances outside. The general public, all MTSU students, faculty, and staff are welcome. Kids are, too! Make it a family night! It's free admission for everyone. There's even free parking behind the WPS Building after 4:30 PM on Fridays.

Directions:

At the intersection of Baird St. and Main St, take Baird to MTSU campus.
Turn right at stop sign onto Blue Raider Dr.
Turn left onto Friendship St.
Continue past entrances to first set of parking lots on left and right.
At curve in road, turn left into parking lot.
WPS Building is the second building on the right, at the end of the parking lot.
It is asked that you park only in the designated areas. Of course, handicap parking requires a state permit.

There will also be another star party in one month, Friday, December 4. That will be "Binary Stars: Strange Star Dances - Jeff Gritton."
