While the City of San Jose has its Annual Christmas in the Park, Milpitas  speaks highly of its Annual Tree Lighting and Holiday Open House!

Now on its 22nd year, the tree lighting will be held on Monday, November 30, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at the Milpitas Community Center located at 457 E. Calaveras Boulevard.

It will be participated in by  the Milpitas community who will be celebrating the holiday season with the lighting of the Holiday Tree and enjoying festive entertainment. This is also a chance for families and friends  to mingle with each other while enjoying refreshments and music  at the Milpitas Community Center.

It is a family affair! "It will be fun! We are looking forward to attending," Jae-Jae Aquino and Tweety Estioko, both residents of Milpitas,  said.

The tree lighting and open house is sponsored by the Milpitas Parks and Recreation Services Department, milpitasinfo.com, and Peet's Coffee and Tea of Milpitas.

For more information, call the City of Milpitas Parks and Recreation Services at 408-586-3210 or go to their website at www.ci.milpitas.ca.gov.
