These Halloween spider appetizers are super easy and only take four ingredients! Check out the slide show at the bottom to see the very easy how-to.
Halloween spider pretzel crackers
for one spider
2 Ritz crackers
creamy peanut butter
3 pretzel sticks, broken in half
2 dried cranberries for eyes
Spread peanut butter on one side of one of the crackers. Snap the pretzel sticks in half, and place them across from each other in the peanut butter (see slide show). Continue on with the rest of the legs. (My husband informed me at this point, after I had photographed them, that spiders have eight legs, not six. So feel free to add two more legs to yours.)
Spread a very thin layer of peanut butter on the remaining cracker, then press together. Dap a bit of peanut butter on the dried cranberries and stick to the cracker. Continue on making more until you have enough for all your ghosts and goblins!
Variations: I originally wanted M&Ms for the eyes, but I didn't have any. So I used dried cranberries I had left over from Pumpkin cranberry cookies. You could use any candy, cookies, or gummies you have around your house. Just cut them with a knife and stick on!
Wilton also sent me some fun Pretzel Candy Kit to try out. See our results in the slide show! It was very similar to the Candy Kit I reviewed. The main difference is you have to purchase the pretzel rods. They were delicious and we polished them off within a few days! The sweet candy and the salty pretzels were perfect together! Check out my Candy Kit review to see some of the tips I discovered. You may still be able to find some of the kits at your local grocery stores or Michaels stores. Check out Wilton's handy store finder.
