Central Florida writers still have time to enter the New Southerner Literary contest.

The contest is open to unpublished fiction, non-fiction and poetry suitable for the magazine, which promotes self-sufficient living, environmental stewardship, and supporting local economies.

Fiction and non-fiction entries have a 5,000 word limit and poetry is limited to 50 lines. The entry fee for the contest is $10, and the deadline is October 1.

The Winners in each category receive $200 and publication in the winter issue. For full information, visit New Southerner.
