New releases for 10-21-09

It’s Tuesday, and have we got a big helping on yummy comic goodness for you folks. So pull out the cutlery and dig in*. Here are this week’s highlights.

The imaginary wedding/marriage continues in Archie Comics Archie #602.

Those four-legged ghostbusters from Dark Horse return in Beasts of Burden #2.

Image Comic’s superhero that takes a lickin’ and keeps on tickin’ graces the stands with Invincible #67.

IDW attempts to answer that age-old fanboy question of “who would win in a fight between Angel the vampire and Frankenstein?” with Angel vs. Frankenstein. My money is on Buffy.

Marvel Comics has two Hulk comics coming out this week: Dark Reign: The List –Hulk and Incredible Hulk #603. As if that’s not enough, the variant edition of Incredible Hulk features the Superhero Squad. Superhero Squad variants can also be found for Invincible Iron Man #19 and Mighty Avengers #30.

Finally at DC Comics, we have yet another Batman spin-off with Azrael #1. Also on stands is Supergirl #46, DC’s annual Halloween issue DCU Halloween Special 2009 #1, and Blackest Night: Superman #3. Speaking of Blackest Night, the first wave of Blackest Night figures will be in stores as well.

It’s a great comic week. As always, I’d like to know what you will and won’t be picking up.
