Medieval Ashford Castle, nestled along the shores of Lough Corrib in County Mayo, Ireland, is offering one and two-night Harry Potter style packages for Halloween.

These “Hogwarts Family Midterm” packages bring Harry Potter’s magical world of witchcraft to life within the castle’s ancient halls. Designed for both kids and adults, these packages allow aspiring wizards and muggles to partake in a variety of Harry Potter and Halloween themed events, taking full advantage of the ancient castle’s unique features, such as hidden rooms and expansive woodlands.

Planned activities include:

Day 1:

• Afternoon Chamber of Witchcraft & Wizardry
• Kids' dinner in the Dungeon
• George V Table d'Hôte dinner for Mum and Dad
• Harry Potter movie evening

Day 2:

• Isle of Innisfree passage to Inchagoill Island via boat
• Hidden garden treasure hunt
• Kids' dinner in the Dungeon
• George V Table d'Hôte dinner for Mum and Dad
• Harry Potter movie evening

Ashford Castle is the quintessential setting for Harry Potter and Halloween themed activities. Built in 1228 by the Anglo-Norman de Burgo family, the medieval castle sits within an expansive 26,000 acre estate on the western coast of Ireland. The building has been lovingly restored and now operates as a distinguished 5-star hotel.

Two night packages begin at approximately $705 US per person. One night packages start at approximately $735 per Deluxe Family Room. These Hogwarts Halloween specials run from October 23 - November 2, 2009.
