In the latest example of Savage's sudden burst of philanthropy, the radio host and his Paul Revere Society have given $25,000 to the Diane Fossey Gorilla Fund.
In a press release about the donation, Savage is quoted as saying he hopes the money is used toward stopping the poaching of gorillas.
This brings Savage's total contributions this week to $100,000: in addition to the latest $25,000, he has given $50,000 to the California Association of Highway Patrolmen Widows and Orphans' Fund and $25,000 to the International Fund for Animal Welfare.
At the risk of sounding like a broken record: Whatever money Savage has "raised" through the Paul Revere Society, it was raised by hate-mongering, fear tactics and race-baiting. And hard as it may be, the donations should be refused.
Keep the faith.
