Island Ford - This park unit serves as the CRNRA headquarters.  You can come visit the park's visitor center before heading out along the parks trails.  See deer along the trail, stop along scenic creeks and pass large rock outcroppings that served as shelters for the people who once inhabited the banks of the Chattahoochee. 
Gold Branch - with seven miles of hiking trails this unit of the CRNRA offers excellent hiking options for both short loops or long hikes through the heavily wooded forest.  Along the sections of trail that border Bull Sluice Lake visitors have opportunites to view the areas waterfowl and deer can sometimes also be seen along the trails.
