Last month, Romanian tennis phenom Simona Halep - winner of the 2008 Junior French Open, announced she will undergo breast reduction surgery. She is hoping her on-the-court performance level raises post-surgery.

"The breasts make me uncomfortable when I play", said the 17-year-old Wimbledon hopeful.

Simona feels the weight of her 34DD breasts slows her down on the court and could cost her future wins. She added: "It's the weight that troubles me - my ability to react quickly."

Dr. Robert T. Grant, chief of plastic surgery at New-York Presbyterian Hospital said, “Besides the pain, there is restriction of activities. You can imagine if you tied two five-pound weights around your neck and tried to do things, how uncomfortable that would be.”

The 5'5" tennis starlet is undergoing the surgery this fall. She is currently ranked 264th in the world.
