Woody Harrelson is vegan. (In Defense of
Animals)

While you're running around this week getting your Halloween costume together (and in some cases, your pet's costume, too) you may be interested to know that October 25 to 31 is World GO VEGAN Week.

"We encourage people to use this week to educate their community about the vegan lifestyle as a compassionate, sustainable, and healthy way of eating and living," states In Defense of Animals (IDA), an animal rights and welfare organization.

What is a vegan?

"A vegan is someone who chooses not to eat any food that comes from animals (i.e., meat, dairy and eggs)," states the IDA

Woody Harrelson is vegan.

“I chose to be vegan initially as an energetic pursuit, as meat and dairy slowed me down, but have since become convinced that it is not only the most healthy way to live, but also the most compassionate and ecologically responsible way.”

-Woody Harrelson, World Go Vegan Week Supporter

Are you vegan? Can you love animals, but still be a meat-eater?
