Do you ever wonder what your dog does all day while you're at work? Does she watch Oprah? Snoop through your journal? Toy with the idea of chewing on your shoes?
SNIF Tag is the newest, high tech pet gadget that uses wireless technology to let you track your dog's movements remotely: is she sleeping, walking, running, or playing?
Did the dog walker really take your dog out for an hour-long walk like you're paying him or her to do?
How much exercise is your dog getting?
SNIF Tag lets you know all that and more.
Here's how it works.
Just clip a SNIF Tag to your dog's collar and it will transmit information to a SNIF base station in your house, which uploads info to a SNIF website. You can log in and review your dog's activities over a day, week or month. You can also check the website from anywhere and watch your dog's movements in real time.
The tag also has a social networking element. While out and about, if your dog encounters another pooch wearing a SNIF Tag, it will exchange information with it. Later, at home, you can log into your website, and decide whether you want to add the new pooch (and its owner) to your list of friends.
It's the ultimate, high tech pet accessory. The SNIF Tag starter kit is currently selling for $199 until November 24, after which it will revert to its usual price of $299. It includes the SNIF Tag, the SNIF wireless base station and charger, customizable lenses and rim, connection cables, and one year's subscription for Premium service to the website. After the year, Basic service is free, though Premium service--which includes a whole host of fun features--is available for $10 per month.
