Gas saving tips and links to help you get to your hiking destination.

1.    Avoid rooftop carriers.
Approximately one quarter of each gallon of gas is needed to overcome wind resistance, so avoid carrying  things on your roof.

2.    Avoid unnecessary idling.
To save on gas, I turn off my car at stop lights. It has increased my gas saving by 10 – 20 percent.
        Drive the speed limit.

3.    Don’t drive aggressively and you’ll save an average of 31 percent. So don’t punch the accelerator or slam on the brakes.
