Golf shoe market leader FootJoy in January will introduce what it calls a "new category" with its SYNR·G (‘Synergy’). FootJoy says the SYNR-G line (suggested retail price $220 per pair) is engineered to deliver the most comprehensive stability package of any line of shoes in its history.

In development for more than two years, FootJoy says SYNR·G features a G·Force outsole designed for golfers seeking maximum support and a solid foundation. The shoe's Tri-lateral Stability Frame, according to FootJoy, is a mid-foot support bridge that cradles the foot and provides a stable hitting platform.

Adding to the in-shoe support, FootJoy says the HeelLoc zone, located on the heel area of the PU Fit-bed, reduces friction and keeps the foot securely positioned throughout the golf swing.

“Today’s players continue to generate higher swing speeds and therefore it was critical for FootJoy to develop a performance golf shoe that could maximize this force,” said Mike Foley, director of footwear marketing for FootJoy.  “By effectively securing a substantial foundation, SYNR·G shoes allow players of every level to really go after the ball.”

SYNR·G will be available in four styles: white lizard print/white, brown lizard print /white, black lizard print/white, and black lizard print/black and will carry a two-year limited waterproof warranty.
