New Jersey's own Aaron McCargo Jr., winner of the fourth "The Next Food Network Star," and host of his own Food Network show, "Big Daddy's House" helps a great cause.  Aaron was recently named the national spokesperson for Share Our Strength's The Great American Dine Out, a week long event already involving over 2,000 restaurants to raise money to end childhood hunger in America.  It will take place from September 20-26.  You can participate by going to the Share our Strength restaurant locator to find a participating restaurant in your area, 100% of your bill will go towards this great cause.  Restaurateurs, get on board now at http://www.strength.org/.

McCargo will promote the event by conducting a demonstration of several of his quick, easy, and tasty dishes at the National Restaurant Association on Sunday, May 17, from noon to 1 p.m. and also on Monday, May 18, from 3:30 p.m. to 4:15 p.m., where he will prepare a succulent Stuffed Lamb Chops dinner served alongside Lemon Pepper Orzo and Spicy Swiss Chard.

Having worked in 10 restaurants over the years, including one of his own, once serving as the Executive Chef of catering at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia and a culinary school grad, McCargo has a wealth of culinary knowledge under his belt.  With all of his success, Aaron does not forget where he came from.  Aaron makes an effort to regularly speak with the youth of Camden, NJ at community schools and events about overcoming adversity.  A true local hero.  Aaron was recently given the keys to the city by Camden Mayor Gwendolyn Faison for his commitment to the community.
