BLM meets with ASA and UDG over ISDRA
fees

The BLM has delayed requesting a fee increase for admission to Glamis and Gordon's Well in the Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area (ISDRA) after meeting with OHV groups on May 7, 2009.

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) called this meeting with members of the American Sand Association (ASA) and the United Desert Gateway (UDG) to discuss the fee increase issue and decided not to request it.

The ASA points out that the BLM is working together with them  to resolve issues that concern the people that recreate in the ISDRA. Further proposals will be publicly discussed before being presented for approval.

One of the issues to be discussed is fee collection. Many known issues exist and we should see a more reasonable approach to these issues if we can get more dune users involved.
