Popomomo (which stands for post-modern movement) is an LA based company founded by Lizz Wasserman, a former designer for Urban Outfitters and Free People. Popomomo is a sustainable line of modern, sexy pieces which surpass trends. They use organic and sustainable fabrics for their entire line and it is produced locally in LA. They also use low impact dyes, washing and printing techniques and also power their car by recycling waste veggie oil.
The Popomomo woman is “the type to wear heels while riding a bike, drink wine all night, and wax poetic on politics, philosophy and popculture.” Each season Popomomo draws inspiration from the world around us. Past seasons have focused on Nancy Drew and LA Film Noir, the Source Family Cult and Buckminster Fuller as well as Tony Duquette.
Last week at LA Fashion Week, Popomomo showed off their Spring/Summer 2010 line at the Los Angeles Theatre to reveal a new range of gorgeous, unique and interesting pieces. For more information please visit www.popomomo.com
