With the holidays right around the corner there is no better gift to give or receive than cashmere.  Cashmere is not just for sweaters any more.  While the cashmere sweater twin set is the epitome of uptown sophistication, designers have created some great cashmere dresses for their fall and winter collections.  One of my favorite new brands is TWiG which produces eco-friendly cashmere creations.  Their cashmere dresses have a classic feel with modern details.  The Avery Dress starts as a simple silhouette that has cascading ruffles from each shoulder in both the front and back.  A cashmere dress is the perfect item to buy yourself, and by looking for organic and eco-friendly companies you can know that you are helping the planet by shopping responsibly.

If you want to give a luxurious present to a friend, the cashmere Squiggle Scarf by Sayami is the way to go.  The Squiggle Scarf is ruched to give it a nice textured look and can be worn a variety of ways.  One way to wear it is simply to cross it over once in the front and it stays put – no tying necessary.  A second way to wear it is to wrap it around your neck a couple of times which give it the look of a high neck haute couture collar.  The Sayami Squiggle Scarf is available at department stores and fine boutiques in New York City.  And, at approximately $125, it is a good deal if you need a quality present for a girl friend without breaking the bank.
