Contines to the 15th

There are several wonderful things about Indie film festivals.

You can see films that might not make it to the main stream theaters. Some of these films are quirky , fun, informative and entertaining. However, some never find a buyer and people don't get to see them.

The Next thing is, being able to talk to the filmmakers after you see a film. There is almost always an opportunity for anyone in the theater to ask questions and give opinions of the film directly to the people who were key in the production. Directors, producers, editors, even actors. Sometimes, these are all rolled up into one person. ONLY IN INDIE!!

My favorite thing about Indie fests are the Documentaries. On every subject, person, situation you can imagine. It is all there and it all has value. If someone thought enough of something to put their hard work and most of the time, and their own money.....it should be shown and enjoyed.

THIS IS THE BEAUTY OF INDIE.

Cinevegas has provided some great films so far and more to come as the festival goes through the weekend.  Below I will list all that were shown on day two and then do separate reviews of the films I was able to see. (That's the bad thing, can't see everything).

The films shown Thursday June 11th were:

Impolex

Vegas: Based on a True Story

Redland

Daylight

The Revenant

In The Loop

Moon

Beautiful Darling

All In: The Poker Movie

Black Dynamite

Shorts 1

Beetle Queen conquers Tokyo

The Square

Winnebago Man

Several of the films I was able to catch Thursday had Las Vegas ties. As did the opening film "Saint John of Las Vegas".

Check back of reviews.
