"This is it" is a film that every person who is intersted in music, dancing and being in show business should see.
Michael Jackson shows what a real professional performer should be. Way too many of today's stars are full of themselves and can't give to their fans the way Michael did.
"This is it"
The scene that ran over and over on the news with Michael announcing his final performances, are now haunting. It's almost like it was a written script. Aging pop star announces one last concert tour. Rehearsals go really well, and only days before the concerts starts.....the pop star is dead. The end credits run and everyone leaves the theater.
Not this time. This time it's real and Michael Jackson is gone.
"This is it", Michael's final opus is in some ways a joy to watch. The audience is shown how much Michael wanted to put on a good show. In otherways, it's tragic. The dancers, the singers, the band...all so full of hope for the future, as was Michael. At least, the fans have this film to always remember what a talent Michael is.
Watching this film is like being in on the rehearsals. Being amazed at the talent on the stage, wanting to be a part of it.
It's a shame that this last piece of film with Michael isn't a full on performance. Michael had 50 shows to do. He was saving his voice and his body, by not using either to their full potential. I chose to think this was an effort to conserve himself and not that he couldn't do a full on performance.
