Ford today released the first complete official photos of its new sporty coupe and convertible, the redesigned 2010 Mustang.
Over the last few few weeks, Ford had been teasing the automotive community with a half-dozen images of small parts of the car, like of the instrument cluster and a taillight. But the full photos appeared today on its web site alongside those teasers.
Full specifications and pricing information still aren't due tomorrow, but most of the mechanicals of the existing car that came out in 2005 are expected to carry over. Information posted today to Ford's web site says the new Mustang will offer the same V6 and V8 engines as the current model.
The appearance of the new car is also not a radical departure from the current Mustang, but details have been reworked inside and out.
The 2010 Mustang will start at $21,845 when it goes on sale this spring, Ford says, up from $20,430 for the current car. It will face stiff competition from a reborn Chevrolet Camaro, another retro-styled muscle car that will go on sale around the same time starting from $22,995.
