
Climb aboard the New Hope & Ivyland passenger train and travel into an era long faded into the mists of time and space. The golden years of steam railroading is captured here for all time for all to behold and enjoy. The New Hope and Ivyland railroad offer daily excursion trains that travel though the rolling hills and valleys of scenic Bucks County. In addition to the regular New Hope-Lahaska excursion trains, which operate daily between Memorial Day and late November and on weekends all year round, the railroad also operates several special event trains throughout the year, some of which include: Easter, Fall Foliage, Halloween and Santa trains.
Journey into history and enjoy the restored 1920s vintage passenger coaches, antique bar car and authentic steam and diesel locomotives. The train’s route is cinematic history for it is the same as that filmed in the 1914 movie series the Perils of Pauline. You can purchase your tickets in the original New Hope train station, which has been in operation since 1891 and was once the location of the railroad telegraph operator who sent and received all messages for the town of New Hope, PA.
Excursions depart from the passenger stations in New Hope or Lahaska. All trains depart Lahaska Station 20 minutes past the hour and the last train of the day ends in New Hope. Basic fares for round-trip rides are as follows Coach: Adults $13.00, Children 2 - 11 $8.00, under 2 $2.00. First Class: Adults $19.00, Children 2 - 11 $14.00, under 2 $2.00. Groups of 15 or more receive a 10% discount.
