Monty Python is celebrating 40 years on television with a series of DVD releases coming out on Tuesday, October 27.

One can expect Monty Python: Almost the Truth - The Lawyers Cut as a complete series release.  This 3-disc collection features interviews from many contemporary stars including Jimmy Fallon, Lorne Michaels, Hugh Hefner, Eddie Izzard, Olivia Harrison, Steven Merchant, Dan Aykroyd, Tim Roth, Seth Green, among many others.

Also due out is The Rise of Monty Python: The Other British Invasion, a rare look at the troupe before the "flying circus" years.  This disc also features interviews from many stars and comedians of today.

Last but certainly not least will be The Best of Monty Python:  40th Anniversary Edition.

For the true fan, these sets are not to be missed.
