Patch 3.2 is live on the World of Warcraft servers, and many surprises made it from the PTR into the game. Here are just a few of the highlights from the patch notes that are re-making the art of PvP in World of Warcraft.
Battleground XP - Players can turn off XP gains for a fee of 10g, and battlegrounds will be split into two sections in order to separate the twinks from those who are actively leveling. This should help twinks gather the best gear possible for their level without overly frustrating those who are just stopping by WSG on their way to the 30s.
Honorable Defender Buff - Finally, an incentive for players to defend the flag exists. Fifty percent extra bonus honor for HKs is nothing to sneeze at and ought to bring the road-fighters back where they can be of use.
Time Limits - Warsong Gulch battles will now end after 20 minutes, regardless of the score. The assumption is that this will curb the tendency for pre-made teams to farm HKs endlessly. Arathi Basin and Eye of the Storm flag cap timers were brought down to 8 seconds.
Pet Resilience and Spell Penetration - It's about time. Pets now receive 40% of their master's resilience stat and 100% of their spell penetration stat. Hunter and Warlock pets both just became far more viable in battlegrounds, so expect to see more Beast Mastery Hunters and Demonology Warlocks on the battlefield.
