Nadya Suleman may have given birth to fourteen babies without a job, a house, or medical insurance, but the one thing she does have? A plan.
Despite public outcry over her single-handed attempt to overpopulate the earth, Suleman has already set up a website for her family...where people can see pictures of the teensy babies that shouldn't have been born yet, leave comments for Nadya, and oh gee, make a donation. The Nadya Suleman family accepts MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover, and PayPal!
Suleman's publicists have claimed that she's being inundated with media offers, although many outlets, including Oprah Winfrey, are treating her as toxic. The New York Post reports today that NBC paid Suleman $1.2 million for her interview with Ann Curry. Traditionally, news outlets do not pay for interviews, and NBC has denied the claim.
Some have speculated that Suleman plans to use her notoriety to propel her into a career as a TV childcare expert. Because everyone wants advice from an unemployed single mom who lives with her parents.
Food for thought...because of the budget gap, California residents will be getting an IOU on their state tax returns this year. That's right, the state has no money to pay tax returns. Nadya, however, can collect up to $2,379 per month for her three disabled children, not counting food stamps, Medi-Cal, and income from other programs.
Happy Thursday!
