A mysterious e-mail rolled across my in box this morning. It read simply “our sale’s going through a growth spurt” with the image left attached and a link to the Anthropologie store locator page.

No percentage, no description of items, no sale dates, nothing further was included in the e-mail. It was strange, confusing and a little annoying. I needed more information.

Thankfully quick call to the Berkeley store cleared the situation up. Here's the scoop: With a lot of spring, summer, and even pre-fall merchandise still in stock , the retail shops are doing massive mark-downs which will hit the floor tomorrow Tuesday, June 2, 2009. There will be a variety of discounts percentage wise on everything from dresses to house wares.

Anthropologie is owned by Urban Outfitters and has seven Bay Area locations, in Berkeley, Burlingame, Corte Madera, Danville, Palo Alto, San Francisco, and San Jose. Merchandise may vary by location. For more information on store hours and locations visit the Anthropologie website .
