Tick, tock, tick, tock. Welcome T.I. to the cell block.
But first, according to Allhiphop.com, the ATL MC, born Clifford Harris, did a farewell (for now) concert in Atlanta on Sunday. On Tuesday at noon, T.I.P. is supposed to report to the Forrest City Correctional Facility in Arkansas. The delay request previously reported obviously fizzled. Hosting this gala event were Grand Hustle comedian Lil' Duval and lifestyle guru Kenny Burns.
T.I., during his set which included, "Dope Boyz" and "Live Your Life", told the crowd of screaming fans, "What you need to do right now is pray for me while I'm gone. I'll see you in 366 days."
Preceding his performances were the legendary Eightball & MJG, Maino, Big Kuntry King of the Grand Hustle label, Bobby Ray, and local MC's J Money and NBA. Andre 3000 of Outkast and Soulja Boy attended the concert.
The 366 days in Forrest City are to be spent by T.I. as punishment for trying to purchase unregistered machine guns and silencers from an undercover FBI agent in 2007. He was also fined $100,000, sentenced to 1500 hours of community service, and confined in his home for a year.
He was all but spent 1000 hours of community service, most of it used to reach out to local youths.
See you in a year, T.I., and Godspeed.
