And here we go again!!!!
From Rick Ross to Ja Rule to Lil Wayne to the Game, it looks like 50 Cent's sh*t list is getting bigger by the minute, I don't want to end up on it, but if he's reading this that's probably going to happen.
Now, add one to the pile of enemies Fiddy has racked up: Marv Albert. Or so we think. The legendary broadcaster was scheduled to appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live in Los Angeles this past Wednesday, when members of 50 Cent's entourage started getting into a scuffle backstage.
Albert arrived with TNT public relations specialist Jeff Pomeroy (TNT is the network Albert works for), when bodyguards for the NYC MC, who seemed unfamiliar with the icon, got paranoid.
Luckily, no one was hurt, and Albert made it back to the waiting room.
You can take the man out of the ghetto, but...... you know how it goes.
There is absolutely no excuse for bodyguards to act this way. I understand that they were doing their job, protecting 50 at all cost, but you can be a little more subtle, and the entourage should have been more informed of who was going to be on the show. What could a 68-year-old veteran of sports bradcasting do to a gangster-MC from the streets of Queens? And why does someone so "hard" need so many bodyguards?
Remember, I only reported this because it was all over the net today. I had to add my two cents on the situation.
But 50 fans, don't get on my case, because I'm sure it wasn't 50's fault. He just needs to hire smarter people.
As for Albert, this might be karma catching up to him for harassing a lady, but he's still the man on TNT, and that's what matters.
At least Kimmel recognizes greatness, as he shows here to the Los Angeles Times, according to latimes.com, the paper's official site:
"I've been a fan of Marv's for a long time. I appreciate great broadcasters who are distinctive. I like somebody who brings a real personality to the job but in a professional way. Your job is to call games, not tell jokes, not make yourself a personality. I think Marv is great."
I guess if you've just been watching sports and not paying attention to who's calling the play-by-play, it's understandable not to recognize Albert, althoigh he's a 37-year veteran of the industry of sports broadcasting.
But this isn't really proof of any beef between the two, just a stupid moment we can all look back on an laugh.
Yessssss!!!! Nuff said.
