According to the www.timesonline.co.uk Michael Jackson fans maybe in for a real treat. There seems to be a collection of 100 songs the late Pop star recorded strictly for his children, Prince, 12, Paris Katherine, 11, and Prince Michael II, 7. Mr Halperin, author of Unmasked, The Michael Jackson Story, said before his death: “He wants to leave them for his kids, a very personal legacy to them. I was told he will not let them come out now.” But Jackson's estate may just have to release them to the public to help settle the mountain of debt the star left behind.
According to numerous reports his bills surmounted to over $400 Million. His Estate including the Infamous Neverland Ranch, and the Beatles Song Catalog rights may not be enough to cover the debts, especially if the song catalog is taken off the list.
When the Beatles catalog was up at auction in 1985, Jackson wanted it so badly, he feverly outbid-ed old friend Paul McCartney and Yoko Ono for the rights. That caused a riff in his and Paul's friendship. Now Spinner.com reported earlier this year that Michael, wanting to make amends in death, have willed the Beatles Catalog to Sir Paul McCartney. This maybe just the thing that could force the sale of his Private catalog of songs he intended for his children.
Sales of his tunes and merchandise have skyrocketed in the few days since his death and it seems that alot of the children's future may just be hinged on just how long the frenzy lasts.
If not, at least the private library is there, and although it is not what Michael intended when he put it together, the end result is the same, it is for his Children's future.
