FreshFarm Markets is looking for a few good volunteers to do some market research (get it?)

What better way to put in some do-gooding time than by walking among fragrant fresh fruits and veggies, smiling farmers, and adventurous customers? You even get to play with sticky dots!

To find out more about helping this organization that runs some of the most popular D.C. farmers markets, read on. The wording is taken from a recent email from FreshFarm.

FreshFarm Markets seeks to understand the purchasing habits, views and preferences of FreshFarm Market customers to improve its market operations.

At each of the eight FreshFarm Markets, staff and a market volunteer will carry-out a DOT Survey. A DOT survey is a data collection tool in which a limited number of questions are posted and consumers indicate their responses using colorful, stick-on labels or “dots.”

Market Volunteers for this task will report to the DOT survey manager and must arrive to the market 30 minutes prior to market opening and stay through closing.

Specific tasks may include:

• Recruit market customers to participate in the DOTs survey

• Distribute adhesive dots to survey participants

• Provide guidance to market customers where needed

• Replace poster sheets through-out the market to reduce access to previous information and allow data to be disaggregated by time period

H Street NE Saturday, June 27 (8:30AM-12PM)

Annapolis Sunday, June 28 (7:30AM-12PM

Silver Spring Saturday, July 11 (8:30AM-1PM)

To participate, email Alexandra. See you with dots in hand!
