Many actors toil away for years, sometimes even decades, before landing that one big project that officially introduces them to movie audiences.
That might be the case this weekend for Anna Friel.
The British actress has been working since the 1990s, most recently in the critically hailed ABC show "Pushing Daisies."
Now, she's wearing shorts that are shorter than Daisy Dukes in the new Will Ferrell comedy "Land of the Lost," opening June 5.
The film pays homage to the uber-silly '70s kiddie show about a trio of travelers who end up "Lost" in a land where dinosaurs roam the planet.
"Lost" faces stiff competition this weekend from "The Hangover," but here's betting movie fans haven't seen the last of Friel.
