But this book covers more than the most recent first wives, it goes back in time to explore the lives of Martha and Mary Todd.  The author also includes feisty ladies who were visitors to the first families, including Cher, who was a regular while Jimmy Carter was in office. The presidential daughters are not excluded; their tabloid-worthy adventures are fair game.
