City Fruit is a non-profit Seattle organization whose mission is to “promote the cultivation of fruit in urban landscapes in order to nourish people, build community and protect the climate”.

Much of the fruit grown on trees in the city ends up rotting on the ground. City Fruit wants to change all that and turn wasted fruit into a community building resource. City Fruit and their partners (i.e. Seattle Tilth and Solid Ground) even have resources to help you grow healthier fruit trees, harvest fruit, and donate or preserve extra fruit.

If you have a fruit tree you’d like them to know about go online to City Fruit's  fruit tree registration page. Then, if you choose, they will contact you about their services such as pruning, having your tree harvested and donation of your fruit. Once you’ve mapped your tree it will be viewable to the public, on the fruit tree map, via satellite pictures. Don’t let all that delicious healthy fruit go to waste. Get connected with City Fruit now and make a difference in our community!
