Louis Gossett Jr.

The Inaugural Purple Ball, which is honoring bipartisanship and diversity, and of course honoring America's troops, is getting an increasing number of celebrity guests. Il Divo will be performing along with Peter Cincotti. The host committee, the members of which I'm told will be in attendance is Louis Gossett Jr. (co-chair), Asal Masomi (co-chair), Patricia Arquette, Amy Brenneman, Ed Harris, Ashley Judd, Josh Lucas, Amy Madigan, Brad Silberling and Kate Walsh. Also at the ball you can expect to see John Cusack, Tim Robbins, Susan Sarandon, Brendan Fraser, Herbie Hancock, Bradley Cooper, Angela Bassett, David Alan Grier, Deidre Hall, Terrence Howard, Clifton Powell, and Lisa Marie Presley.

Hill Harper will deliver the presidential toast which is sponsored by Moet & Chandon. I think that is an ingenious sponsorship deal.
