Tickets to this ball are all sold out.

I have bad news for all of you fans of Maryland. The Maryland Inaugural Ball is all sold out. Gone are the $125 tickets that allow you to rub elbows with Democratic leaders from across the Old Line State. As a life-long resident of Rockville, and political fan to boot, this is perhaps the ball I'm most excited for. Of course, that is if I can get press credentials.

The Maryland Inaugural Ball will be held from 7-11 p.m. on Jan. 18 at the Mayflower Hotel, located at 1127 Connecticut Avenue, in D.C. Savion Glover is the entertainment for the evening. What? Was O'Malley's March already booked?

If your year will be ruined because you will not be able to see Mike Miller or Chris Van Hollen in their tuxes, you can still get tickets. You will just need a little bit of luck. The Maryland Democratic Party is holding a raffle to give out four tickets to the ball. No essays or any work like the Obama raffles. Here's the link for the contest. You just have to provide your contact info and on Jan. 11 the winner will be contacted by phone and e-mail. Simple enough.

If you are going to this ball, or any other for that matter, leave a comment on the post or drop me an e-mail.
