"Oh yes, oh yes, oh yes they both
Oh yes, they both
Oh yes, they both reached for
The gun, the gun, the gun, the gun,
Oh yes, they both reached for the gun
For the gun."
My apologizes for typing that snippet from We Both Reached For The Gun but that song has been stuck in my head ever since I started typing this piece. Tickets for Chicago at D.C.'s National Theatre are now on sale. The show has a limited run, March 31 to April 12, so get your tickets while you can.
John O'Hurley, of Seinfeld and Dancing With The Stars fame, is slated to star as Billy Flynn, the hot shot lawyer.
Tickets are priced $46.50 to $91.50, with a limited number of premium seats priced at $151.50. You can get tickets now through the Telecharge web site, or you can wait to buy them at the National Theatre box office starting Feb. 9.
At 3:05 p.m. on Jan. 23, I went on line to see how much two of the cheapest tickets would cost. On opening night, seats 104-105 in row E in the center balcony cost a grand total of $109.50. That breaks down to $93 for the tickets, $14 dollars in service charges and a $2.50 handling charge for the order. This might be too rich for some people's blood, but I say if you have the money get some seats. National Theatre is a great place to watch a show and this is a good one.
