Annapolis, one of my favorite cities, is trying to make sure it lines its coffers during inauguration time. The tourism bureau for Annapolis has some lodging options still available for those coming into town and still looking for a place to stay. I think going from Maryland's capital to America's capital for the inauguration is an excellent idea. Below is a press release I got from the bureau.

The Annapolis & Anne Arundel County Conference and Visitors Bureau (AAACCVB) is inviting individuals who are planning to join in the presidential inaugural festivities to book their room in Annapolis or the surrounding county.

AAACCVB President and CEO Connie Del Signore says several hotels and bed and breakfasts in Annapolis and Anne Arundel County have limited rooms available for Monday, January 19, and inauguration day, Tuesday, January 20

Del Signore says the AAACCVB is making its www.VisitAnnapolis.org Web site a one-stop-shop for individuals interested in attending the inauguration. “To streamline the reservation process, we have added an inauguration Web page to our Web site. People can check out room availabilities and book their hotel rooms online by clicking the Inauguration button. Information about bed and breakfasts can be found atwww.annapolisbandb.com. The inauguration Web page also provides maps, transportation updates, and a list of the many events that will be taking place in and around Annapolis prior to and following the inauguration.” Whole house rentals are available at www.stayannapolis.com.

Located just 32 miles east of Washington, DC and 24 miles from BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport on the Chesapeake Bay, Maryland’s capital city and the surrounding county offer more than 9,000 hotel rooms and 27 bed and breakfasts to choose from. Since room availability is subject to change, travelers are invited to contact hotels and bed and breakfasts directly for availability, rates, and package information.
