I'm coming out right now and saying it; you can't win tickets to the swearing-in ceremony or to Oprah's show, but you can win air fare and hotel accomodations for Barack Obama's inauguration by donating as little as $5 to the Democratic Central Campaign Committee. I will not reveal my political leanings, and I do get e-mail from both Democrats and Republicans, but if you're considering coming to D.C. for the inauguration, you're probably a Democrat and wouldn't mind entering this raffle. Given that you could get a hotel room out of this, it might be worth a shot.
The DCCC sent me the e-mail below asking for a donation. I have not changed a word, and even used the graphic from the DCCC for this post. If you do enter, best of luck. Here is the link to make a donation and enter the contest.

Dear Ben,
Enter the Witness History Contest and you could travel to Washington, D.C. for Inauguration Week!
Because of what we did together this year, millions of proud Americans will soon be heading to Washington D.C. to be part of President-elect Obama's once-in-a-lifetime inauguration. How would you like to be one of them?
As a special thank you for being a part of this historic 2008 campaign, my pals at the DCCC are giving one lucky grassroots supporter the chance to be in Washington for this history-making event. Although they can't provide tickets for the actual swearing-in, they'll provide the flight, hotel accommodations, and a pass to their special DCCC pre-inauguration luncheon.
Renew your annual DCCC support for 2009. Contribute $5, $10, or more and be automatically entered into their Witness History Contest for a chance to win flight and hotel accommodations to be in Washington D.C. for this once-in-a-lifetime event.
As America prepares for the start of the Obama administration, the DCCC is already hard at work. They mobilized millions of voters in races all across the nation in 2008. And now, they're going to organize the deep grassroots support needed to make sure key Obama initiatives sail through Congress.
So, they're asking everyone who played a role in winning the incredible victories of 2008 to help set the stage for dramatic progress in 2009. When President Obama moves forward on fixing the economy, creating jobs, lowering health care costs, and making America energy independent, your grassroots support will be essential to getting the job done.

There's excitement building across America, and all around the world. I'm counting down the seconds to watch Barack Obama take the oath of office and become the President America needs at this time of extraordinary challenge.
Win a chance be part of this historic day!
