Amtrak offers discount for those traveling with cars

In honor of the 25th anniversary of the Auto Train, Amtrak is offering a 25 percent off sale for this service. The deal is not so great, and I’ve never taken the train and stowed my car, but I figured I’d at least pass on the word.
Amtrak’s promotion is only good for mid-week (Tuesday or Wednesday) coach travel on the Auto Train in February and these discounted tickets are only available for sale on Oct. 25.
The Auto Train service departs Lorton, Va., (near Washington, D.C.) and Sanford, Fla. (near Orlando) each afternoon and provides passengers a means of traveling 850 miles with their vehicles without having to sit behind the wheel.
