Jermaine Crawford of Mitchellville, Maryland, a 16-year-old actor who had a recurring role on The Wire, is set to host the H.O.P.E. Inaugural Youth Ball. H.O.P.E., which stands for Honoring Our President-Elect, is possibly the first public inaugural ball in history that is geared towards younger political fans.
The ball takes place on Jan. 17, from 6-10 p.m. at the Trinity Center on the campus of Trinity University in Washington, D.C. Crawford’s company, J Star Productions, Inc. is presenting the ball in association with his youth advocacy organization, Code Blue reviving a generation.

This gala, unlike all the others, will give parents and their kids a chance to commemorate the swearing-in of President-Elect Obama while supporting the National Network for Youth of Washington, D.C., which will receive a portion of the proceeds from the ball
Tickets for the formal ball begin at $77.50 per person with group packages available. Sponsorships are also available. For more information about the H.O.P.E. Inaugural Youth Ball, tickets or sponsorships, check out www.inauguralyouthball.com or call (301) 925-8255.
