The National Museum of Crime & Punishment deserves some credit for creativity. While its “Fright at the Museum: Dead Men Walking” haunted house may not make you cower in fear, it will make you appreciate the work that the museum put into the evening attraction.

Fright at the Museum features 15 George Washington University students who do their best to elicit screams from unsuspecting visitors, well, mostly unsuspecting. The haunted house is too well-lit and since it takes place on the museum's second floor, there aren't many places to hide. Nevertheless, the student actors found some very creative ways to at least make people gasp. If the lights at the museum were darkened quite a bit it would have certainly helped.

Fright at the Museum is still going on from Wednesday, October 28 - Saturday, October 31. Tickets are different than regular Crime and Punishment tickets, and regular museum admission tickets are not valid during the haunted house. Tickets are $20 and are on sale at the museum or online. The whole trip will take about 20-30 minutes so that price point may be too high for some. The haunted house is not the scariest you'll ever be in but it is definitely unique.
