Local artist and mother Cassie Mae Chappell teaches people how to make roses and other flowers out of coffee filters. She was featured on the Martha Stewart show, and honestly the roses look real. I won't tell you which of these photos are real roses and which are made of coffee filters, you'll have to figure that out yourself.

Art projects are a great way for families to co-create, and a bouquet of these roses will never wilt on the dining room table.

In the meantime, check out Cassie's upcoming class schedule and the video from the Martha Stewart show. Her roses were also featured on the Artsy Fartsy Family's multi-generational art projects website, along with several other things to do with roses.
