Volunteers at Kingsley Terrace Church of Christ, 2031 E. 30 St., Indianapolis, prepare 400 meals a day that anyone under 18 can eat for free.

Only about 90 kids are taking advantage of the program. That means a lot of food is going to waste.

The program is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, and the church is reimbursed for all 400 meals, whether someone eats them or not.

Spread the word. Kids don’t need to go hungry this summer.

Thanks to the Indianapolis Star for bringing this to our attention.
