Fiction genres are like an all-you-can-eat buffet for writers.

Whether you decide to stick within the same genre family, or venture out into new territory, there’s no need to limit yourself to just one.

Fancy a saucy little romance? Amp up the recipe with an extra dollop or two of passion.

Hankering for a big ol' hunk'a horror? Ladle in some thrills and some hair-raising chills.

Sure, the recipe for writerly success is different for every author out there, but one thing remains the same - each has his or her own palette to please.

So, what genre(s) do you write? What ones would take you out of your comfort zone? What genre would you love to make an attempt at? Have you come up with a cool cross-genre that you think readers would love?

Share your thoughts in the comments section! Did I miss any genres? Let me know & I'll add it to the poll!
